Villa de Cannelle  is located a in a rustic village named   Pahalagama- Ellawala   a few minutes from   Eheliyagoda   , a   town   which is famous for the gem stones that are produced in this area .
 
Ellawala ,is situated in the Ratnapura district which is   a, economically and agriculturally important , land area   of   the   Sabaragamuwa province, of Sri lanka.  

A major part of the land mass of this province is extensively cultivated with Tea ,rubber ,Cinnamon , other spices and  rice .

And is also historically famous for the beautiful and very valuable gemstones produced in the mines , which can be found in   most of the lush green countryside.

The property is a working organic  cinnamon plantation, consisting of  150 acres ( 65 hectares). Organic agricultural methods , have been implemented and undertaken for the last 25 years , on this plantation, which  is the largest certified   organic cinnamon plantation on the Island and is famous for the high grades of organic cinnamon   produced .

Villa de Cannelle   is   a situated on the crest of a hill surrounded by   lush cinnamon bushes and is gifted with wonderful views of the valley bellow.  The lawns and gardens around the Villa have been landscaped and consist of many varieties of fruit trees and other spices such as , pepper and cloves.

On a clear day , the Holy mountain, Adams peak can be seen , while you drink a cup of tea on the verandah of the Villa.

The Villa is   the 60year old   country house   of the 5 th generation   owners, of the Organic Cinnamon  plantation.   It has been beautifully designed , and complimented with many beautifull pieces of antique furniture.
